Transformer Unloading & Site Shifting

Unloading, dragging and foundation placement of power transformers from 50 MVA to 510 MVA — including movement through live substations and plant infrastructure.

Transformer Unloading & Site Shifting

Overview

IPN LIFTERS handles power transformers from 50 MVA distribution units up to 510 MVA grid-class machines — among the heaviest single-piece loads moved in Eastern India. Our crews unload transformers from multi-axle trailers and rail sidings, then drag and shift them along prepared roller tracks to their foundation bays — including routes that pass through live electrical installations, narrow substation corridors and operating plant infrastructure. We work to OEM handling manuals with tilt and shock monitoring throughout, and have executed transformer operations for L&T, NTPC, Toshiba and Skipper with zero-incident records. Jacking, roller-track inching and real-time load monitoring ensure millimetre-level final positioning on the foundation pad.
