The Challenge
Chillers needed to be repositioned within a confined plant room while other HVAC equipment remained in operation. Floor loading capacity and doorway dimensions constrained the movement options.
Our Approach
Each chiller was jacked, placed on rollers, and carefully repositioned along a pre-planned path that maintained clearances from operating equipment. Load spreading plates were used where floor loading was a concern.
The Result
All chillers repositioned as per the new plant room layout. No damage to existing equipment or building structure. Hospital operations continued uninterrupted.
