Chiller Lifting & Shifting — HDFC Bank, Dalhousie
Lifting and shifting of a chiller machine at HDFC Bank's Dalhousie branch in Kolkata — a heritage area with restricted access and tight working conditions.
The Challenge
The Dalhousie area in central Kolkata has narrow heritage streets with restricted vehicle access. The crane had to be positioned carefully to avoid damaging adjacent buildings and overhead cables, while traffic management was coordinated with local authorities.
Our Approach
A compact crane setup was used to fit within the available street width. Police traffic diversions were arranged for the lift duration. The chiller was rigged from the street level and placed onto the building's plant area in a controlled lift with continuous spotter guidance.
The Result
Chiller successfully installed at the HDFC Bank branch. No damage to heritage structures, cables, or public infrastructure. Traffic was restored within the planned window.
