450 TR Chiller Dismantling & Reinstallation — RDB Project
Complete dismantling and reinstallation of a 450 TR chiller machine at an RDB Group commercial project in Kolkata.
The Challenge
The existing 450 TR chiller had to be dismantled from the plant room, removed from the building, and a replacement unit reinstalled — all while maintaining cooling for occupied floors on a tight weekend schedule.
Our Approach
The old chiller was systematically disconnected, rigged, and removed through the service access using a combination of chain blocks and hydraulic jacks. The new unit was craned in and positioned on the same day. Piping reconnection and leak testing followed immediately.
The Result
Both the dismantling and reinstallation were completed over a single weekend. The building's HVAC system was back online by Monday morning with zero downtime during working hours.
